verses of the moment.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! — Luke 13:34

How often would I deny God, and how often would I consider myself knowing better.  It is still hard to write about all the idiocy that I committed, and all the things that I believed in simply because I was too proud and blind to accept God into my life.

I still struggle with this.

[..] Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. — Mark 9:24

do you mark your bible?

I do.  I am unsure as to whether I should; but it is a habit of mine to make marks in books that I read.  I underline verses that speak to me at the moment of reading.  Put question marks near those that I don’t exactly understand.

I could do it in pencil instead of pen.  My New Testament copy is pocket-size (it also includes Psalms), and the paper is very thin, so if I were to try and erase the marks later, I would probably rip the paper.  Lately I try using tiny sticky notes for Psalms I want to re-read, or for those that I use for prayer.  I still mark verses, though.

So, what do you think?  I should probably talk to a priest about this.
